EUROMETROPOLIS 2.0: TWO YEARS OF TARGETED ACTIONS

2019 and 2020 revolve around three topics resulting in various concrete actions:

I. Economic development, implementing a network of “digital actors”;

II. Work-linked training: Within the scope of boosting employment, the Eurometropolis aims to promote the learning of the French and Dutch language at different levels (children, youngsters, adults), disseminate information on employment so as to encourage people to work across the border, and provide youngsters with the opportunity to receive training in the context of cross-border work-linked training (theoretical education at school on one side of the border and practical training at a company on the other side of the border);

III. Embedding of sustainable development in the Eurometropolis by means of sustainable cross-border and seamless mobility, management and coordination of the “Blue Space” constituting the Eurometropolis region as well as the promotion of alternative energy.
